La reunión de ex docentes que se realizó el jueves 28 de enero se estableció como una de las primeras actividades que conciernen la agenda de este año, en la cual el tema principal será la celebración del aniversario número 50 del Instituto de Enfermería de la Universidad Austral de Chile. La actividad se llevó a cabo en la modalidad de reunión en línea, a través de la cual participaron distintas generaciones de docentes.
La jornada estuvo marcada por la participación de docentes que se involucraron activamente en el proceso de creación del Instituto en el año 1971 y la reflexión en torno sus trayectorias y recuerdos; al respecto la profesora Luz Angélica Muñoz compartió parte de su testimonio:
Esta reunión fue muy emocionante ya que nos permitió vernos después de muchos años y recordar varios hitos de desarrollo académico e investigativo del Instituto tales como: el V Congreso Nacional de Enfermería, el liderazgo en nuestra máxima institución educativa, la internacionalización y distinciones de Universidades de Trujillo, Brasil, la IV Conferencia con las Universidades de MacGill , Montreal de Canadá y Estados Unidos en la que asistieron mas 400 Investigadores, y las distinciones como la Acreditación Nacional entre otros. Es así como disfrutamos de hermosos recuerdos de nuestros líderes y estudiantado, varios de ellas ahora distinguidas Profesoras y Profesores del Instituto.
La actividad que estuvo orientada al encuentro de generaciones entre docentes continuará organizándose en la misma modalidad durante el año académico con el objetivo de conmemorar los 50 años del Instituto.
